Accurate flat and folded parts, finished and ready to use.
Laser profiling is the quickest route to accurate flat parts in steel, stainless and aluminium. We check the nesting and the bend allowances before anything is cut.
Cutting and folding are done by partner shops on our files; welding and finishing are done in our workshop. Send a DXF and we quote. Send a drawing and we draw the DXF. Send a sketch and we start from there. If the parts need welding, tapping or a finish, that is done here before they leave.

Hull · UK-wideMaterials, thickness and tolerance
| Materials | Mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, Zintec |
|---|---|
| Thickness | Typical maximums: mild steel 20 mm, stainless 12 mm, aluminium 10 mm. Thicker plate on request. |
| Tolerance | ISO 2768-m as standard; cut edges hold about ±0.2 mm on thin material; tighter on request |
| Folding | CNC press brake. Minimum flange length and inside radius advised per material and thickness before quoting. |
| Files | DXF at 1:1 in millimetres with cut paths only; STEP plus flat DXF for folded parts |
Every cut part is measured against the drawing before it is welded or shipped.
Holes, flanges and fold angles are checked, so an error is caught before it is welded in.

Laser cutting & folding questions
Not covered here? Call or WhatsApp and ask.
How thick can you cut?
Typically 20 mm mild steel, 12 mm stainless and 10 mm aluminium by laser. Thicker plate on request. Tell us the thickness and we confirm.
Which file format do you need?
DXF for flat parts, drawn at 1:1 in millimetres with cut paths only. For folded parts, send the STEP file and we check the flat pattern and bend allowances ourselves.
What tolerance do you work to?
ISO 2768-m unless your drawing states otherwise. Laser cut edges hold about ±0.2 mm on thin material. Folded dimensions depend on the material and the tooling, and we advise before quoting.
Can you cut tube and box section?
Yes. Tube, box section and angle are cut with mitres, slots and holes. Send the section size and lengths and we confirm.
Can you weld the cut parts into an assembly?
Yes. That is most of what we do with them. Cut and folded parts are jigged, MIG or TIG welded, dressed and finished in our workshop.
Do you deburr and finish the parts?
Yes. Parts are deburred as standard, and can be galvanised, powder coated or painted before they leave.
