This policy explains what personal information ONMET collects through onmet.uk, why, and what we do with it. ONMET is the data controller. If you have a question about your data, email info@fesk.uk or call 01482 530020.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry or order request through a form on this site, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, the details of the job or product, and any photos, drawings or files you attach.
If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email instead, we keep the details you give us in that conversation.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, give you a price, arrange and carry out the work, invoice you, and keep the records the law requires. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing that contract, and meeting our legal obligations for business and tax records.
We will not send you marketing, and we never sell or rent your information.
Who else handles it
We only share your information with services that help us run the website and the business:
- IONOS hosts the website and its database and sends enquiry emails to us.
- Cloudflare protects and speeds up the site. Its Turnstile check on our forms stops spam without puzzles or tracking cookies.
- Google Fonts supplies the site’s typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
- WhatsApp (Meta) handles any conversation you choose to start with us there, under its own privacy policy.
- Our accountant, and HMRC where the law requires it, for invoices and business records.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If we do work for you, we keep the job and invoice records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.
Cookies
The public site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors from automated traffic. Logging in to the site’s admin area sets the usual WordPress login cookies, which only apply to staff.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, or limit how we use it, and object to how we use it. Email info@fesk.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
